Established in 2016, Proxima Furniture has been designing and crafting high quality furniture with our multi-disciplinary team proficient across many mediums. All Melbourne made, our pieces are designed in Collingwood and made in our Coburg workshop. 

Creating with the intent of being honest to the materials used, Proxima's pieces expose the natural textures and beauty of their timber or steel makes. We predominantly work with American hardwoods; white oak, white ash and walnut, allowing the natural timber grain to emerge even from painted surfaces. 

Combining traditional with contemporary furniture making techniques, the hand of the maker is present in all pieces whilst also boasting the precise lines and balanced shapes that can be achieved using contemporary modes of making.
